Oct 23, 2012 – Lagos State Scholarship 2013: Fashola Approves N77.5 Million
Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola has approved N77.5 million for scholarship award to 337 qualified indigenes of the state in various tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
Secretary of the Lagos State Scholarship Board, Mrs. Yetunde Jegede said the awardees were the 223 undergraduate students with 3.5 Grade Point Average, GPA and above and 74 post graduate students who took part in the last Local Scholarship interview conducted in January 2012.
“The list also includes 40 undergraduate students who automatically qualified for merit award having got 4.0 Grade Point and above. Documentation exercise in readiness for the presentation of award to this category of awardees will commence on today at the Board’s premises in Agege. Thereafter, ATM cards would be released to awardees that have been cleared.
“The concerned students are implored to come for their award with original and photocopies of relevant documents which include school Identity Card, current progress report, two passport photographs, letter of admission, N2,000. LSSB Brochure receipt obtained from the Office of the Special Adviser on Education, Alausa and any other documents that were not submitted before now.
The award value ranges from N200,000, N300,000 and N400,000 for undergraduate, Master’s and Doctorate degree students respectively,” she said.
