June 16, 2015 – Buhari To Nigerians Living In South Africa: Respect Yourself & Exercise Self Control

President Muhammadu Buhari met with some Nigerians living in South Africa yesterday Monday June 15, 2015 after the African Union Summit that held in Johannesburg.

In the wake of the xenophobic attacks that killed several foreigners in the country, Buhari promises to strengthen diplomatic relationship between Nigeria and South Africa. He also told Nigerian citizens living in SA to conduct themselves in honourable manner.

In his words;

“Those of you who have the opportunity to come here and represent us, make sure that you are representing Nigeria, you are all ambassadors of Nigeria. This means a lot of patience, restraint and self-respect and pride. You must have all these.”

Buhari promises to kill corruption in Nigeria:

“Government is determined to secure the country, manage the economy, create employment and fight corruption. Some articulate writers have said if we do not kill corruption in Nigeria, corruption will kill Nigeria. This APC administration intends to kill corruption in Nigeria. We will do our best, I assure you.”

    Government does not create jobs except for few government jobs at the local, state,and federal levels. But government must put in place those factors that attract both local and foreign investors to her nation. In order for millions of good paying jobs to be created during the first four years of Buhari administration by private sectors, there must be adequate security for lives and properties of the citizens and the visitors or foreign investors. Stable and uninterrupted supply of electricity is a must to achieve the goal of job creation. Our outdated and delaying infrastructure like roads, bridges, railway systems, hospitals, seaports and airports must be rebuild while building many modern ones. Good education is also a must for growth and development. Another important area that cannot be ignored is good governance with accountability, transparency, and corruption free. If PMB should focus on these areas and many more that I’ve fully explained in my last article on the media and addressed them accordingly, he will have a very successful government that will easily give him and his vice 2nd term in Aso Rock Villa. May God help PMB in order to help millions of struggling and suffering Nigerians. Amen.

    Nigerians need to rebrand themselves not only in South Africa, but all over the world. When you say you are a Nigerian, you tend to get a second strange attention. God help we Nigerians to clean up our spotted plate.
