August 17, 2012 – CBN To Launch N5000 Notes With Yaradua’s Head
According to reliable sources, CBN, Central Bank Of Nigeria is set to release N5000 currency note on September 1st, 2012. naijagists.com
A reliable Apex bank source claims this is an effort to aid CBN’s cashless policy which is set to extend to other parts of the country by 2013.
The source further disclosed that the N5000 currency note is a top secret by The Central Bank of Nigeria. CBN plans to make this a surprise launch into the market.
It’s speculated that the Late President Umaru Yar’Adua’s head will be the bust on the note as mark of honour to him for his contributions to the polity and national economy.
The source disclosed that Central Bank Of Nigeria plans to make the N5000 note a bit scarce so as not to disturb the unstable economy.
