The popular Nollywood producer and actor has urged the Federal Government of Nigeria to consider investing in Nollywood as a better alternative to oil revenue.

Ejike who decried the high level of piracy ravishing the movie industry urged the FG to stamp out piracy with tougher law.

Recounting his days as the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, he said he was able to raise the bar upon which the guild can leverage, while expressing optimism that the future of Nollywood is very bright.

Buhari should invest more in nollywood right? For your pocket advantage abi?

How is that going to curb the high rate of inflation in the country? Talking about movies, I think seasonal films have now taken the lead far ahead of Nigerian films in the country.
But I believe that with time…

I am back from a looooong strolling into the Amazon forest.
    Missed U Pals.

Welcome back @Dhunter that was a very long strolling & a good comment from you again.Just wondering how investing money into the nollywood industry would stop the high rate of poverty, kidnapping &
Total insecurity in Nigeria. SO 100% FOR HIS POCKET!

@ the Hunter, I think brother Ejike raised a vital suggestion here, America makes one third of his revenue from film making. If there is a complete overhauling in piracy and we set a new standard on how we produce our movie to meet international standard, Nigeria can make money through the movie industry.

And I kept on wondering y #D_Hunter has not made comments on NG’s for that long of a period of time, u wlc back. Well back to business, Mr Ejike Asiegbu has made a good point and I mean a very good point @that. What is one of d reasons y american movies tops d least worldwide? It’s simply because they have a good government that backs #hollywood a lot. It’s as simple as that

The one wey u chop for jonathan regime no do you, bunch of greedy and selfish people.
Upon all d money u were given during the past leadership what was achieved, nothing, we have some of ur members who were going on social media to beg for money inorder to pay for their health conditions.
Why was d money which most of u shared amongst urselves not been used to take care of ur members, instead all we hear is how u people were fighting over the money and disgracing urselves everywhere.
Better luck next time, Nigerians have a lot they want to use the money for, if acting is no longer productive, find other jobs or business to do.

Na until we renamed this country and change all this old men ruling us before this country will be good again.
