May 28, 2016 – Joshua Iginla: I Gave SUVs To Nollywood Stars Battling Poverty Because Piracy Is Killing Them

Abuja based Pastor who gave out several SUVs to popular Nollywood stars on his birthday few days ago told NAN that he did the good deed because many Nollywood celebrities are poor.

Hear what Iginla told NAN in Abuja yesterday:

“I have 782 widows and orphans to cater for.”

“It doesn’t matter to me if I trek home as I have given even the car that I personally drive. I can only drive one car and live in one house at a time.

This understanding is what has taught me that when I die, others will inherit my assets. The beauty of life is not in its duration, but in its donation. I have not seen some of the beneficiaries before in my life or spoken to them.

I’m seeing many of them for the first time today. I am seeing Jide Kosoko for the first time,” he said. Iginla gave cars to the Nollywood actors because “many of them were poor, but people erroneously think they were rich.” He believes the fruits of the Nollywood artistes were reaped by pirates and challenged government to do something to arrest it.

“The Nollywood actors and actresses are our ambassadors; they have projected the image of this country positively”.

Galatians 6:10. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Am not against what the pastor has done and the scripture encourages us to do good but it says those of your household of faith; meaning there are church members in your church that pay their tithe, offering, love seed, and every other kingdom offering that should benefit from this gesture not movie actors and actresses. I hope his members are all car owners and living big as well?

This is unbelievable. The question should be how many souls have not won for Christ. Our Lord is more interested in the poor in spirit you agent of deception. Many unrepented souls are dying even in nollywood, and facing the judgement of God,did you ever care for the eternal aboard of their souls? The tithes and offering paid by the poor in your church were they meant for extravagant distribution to nollywood stars Mr father Christmas? I only pity the foolish ignorant ones who still attend your so called church.

Do has you wish, who cares. But remember there are people out there who needs your help, not those who are okay.

Not wishing to sound like an antagonist, I want to correct you here. Movie producers are the ones that lose out on account of piracy, and not mere actors and actresses. Before a movie hits the screen, all the people that acted had been paid for their services and may be enjoying their money in some distant country while the producer is waiting to recoup his expences before even talking about making gains. Piracy now ensures that this gain never comes. Attimes the producers don’t even as much as break even.

And so I may want to ask, How many producers are among the recipients of your birthday giveaways? Forget about the answer. I am pleased that you have 782 widows and orphans that look to your generous hands. My advice is to make sure that they get the chunk of your riches. There are also a host of other miserable destitutes that need you far nore than those actors/actresses you lavish your riches on.

What an hebetudinous statement – Use your influence to lobby the legislatures for strong privacy law thereby protecting the film industry and not enriching few or you have hidden agenda – it might be your yearly appeasement of your gods .

Giving them cars can never be a solution to their problems. You provided a temporary solution. To provide a permanent solution you should empower them. Pray for them.

One question I would like to ask this pst is, How Is Cars Going To Profer The Solution To The Problems He Thought The Actors Are Facing???

If you are giving someone you thought is poor a Range Rover Sport, how do you expect Him/her to mentain it? Can you say you have help them or add to their problems?

All I could see here is nothing but mere show off. A kind of “Notice Me“ stuff and a highly BLEACHED Pst. talking.

    I take a stroll…

All I have to say is that giving for charity is good, as long as there is no any other hidden interest of the giver to the beneficiaries.

Well I’m just waiting for the Nollywood industry to defend their self because if none of them did not say anything that means this pastor has exposed them all about their “#FAKELIFESTYLES#”
