Dorcas Afeniforo Is Dead: Kwara State Commissioner Dies In Car Accident
The news of Mrs. Dorcas Afeniforo’s passing has shaken the Kwara State Civil Service Commission. Mrs. Afeniforo, who served as the Commissioner II and was a former Commissioner for Women Affairs, as well as a dedicated supporter of the governor, died in a car accident while returning from a trip to Lagos on Saturday.
Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expressed his condolences in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye. The governor referred to Mrs. Afeniforo’s death as a “shocking and painful” loss, not only to her family, but also to the progressive community in the state.
The governor went on to pay tribute to Mrs. Afeniforo’s legacy as a prominent advocate for women’s development and her contributions to the advancement of the state. He offered his sympathies to Mrs. Afeniforo’s family and the residents of Baruten and Kwara North, who she represented at the CSC until her untimely passing. The governor also requested that God grant comfort to those left behind.
