Sept 17, 2013 – Nigerian 53rd Independence Day Celebration 2013 Kicks Off In Abuja (Pictures)

Ahead of October 1st when Nigerians usually celebrate their independence from the British , a low key celebration has started on the streets of Abuja with thousands of patriotic Nigerians in colourful outfits.

On the 1st of October year 1960, Nigeria officially gained independence from the UK and since then, the date has become the most celebrated day in the history of Nigeria.

    no job, asuu on strike, dv visa cancelled for Nigeria etc
    seriously there is no cause for celebration until Gov. change hand

    U people will celebrate it to hell, after this independence Goodluck and the rest will die mysteriously, this will be the last independence Goodluck will ever notice, they will die just the way patience dame jonathan mother died

    What re we celebrating? 53 yrs of independent ma ass…no gud govt, no job opputunities, poor economy jst name it etc… And we re intoxicating over nothing our leaders should b ashamed of themselves!!!
