Nigerian National Flag Designer, Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi Gets Home Makeover From G-Next Youths
April 30, 2013 – Nigerian National Flag Designer, Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi Gets Home Renovation From G-Next Youths In Ibadan
A favour that could have been done by the Federal Government of Nigeria has been taken over by a Youth empowerment organization called G-Next.
A group of young, impact-oriented minds under the cover of GNext Youth Organization have taken it upon themselves to give Nigerian national flag designer a complete home makeover.
Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi (MON) is presumably a household name in Nigeria being the great intellectual who designed the Nigerian flag at the age of 25 while he studied in London.
His flag design was accepted amongst other designs, for its ingenuity and depth. This undeniably shot Pa Akinkunmi into limelight and enlisted him amongst Nigeria’s heroes and icons.
Now, Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi, a man whose ingenious work of creativity we still enjoy each time we gaze at the Nigerian flag, coupled with Parkinson’s disease, lives in an unbefitting state in his Ibadan residence. Click to continue reading and see more pics.
They would renovate his living room and bedroom. Electrical appliances windows, window frames and furniture will be replaced and also to give the home a beautiful ambiance, flowers will be planted round the house as well as repaint of the fence.
Renovations are to commence 8th of May and last till 10th of May 2013 when it would be declared open by the First Lady of Oyo State in a ceremony that would equally mark his birthday.
See some disgusting pictures of Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi’s house in Ibadan below
This is a big slap on the face of the Federal Government.
They need to learn to give honour to whom honour is due.
