The Governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomhole and his ‘tear rubber’ wife today stormed a Catholic church in Auchi with their family members for a special wedding Thanksgiving Service.

The Thanksgiving Mass was graced by the bride’s Parents, Mr and Mrs Jesus Fortes, Oshiomhole Children ( Adams Junior, Jane and Steve) and dignitaries from all over the country.

At the event, Oshiomhole said he hopes to make this marriage his last on earth.

See excerpts from his thanksgiving speech:

“The lady that God has directed to my path and heart to marry is not and was not a model. Of course, she looks beautiful and I understand that is why people assume that this kind of a lady must be a model but of course, she is a model in my heart.  I ask you to please continue to pray for us. It is not easy. I lost my first wife and it is not possible to replace her. Yes, I have married another but it is not a replacement. You cannot replace a wife especially one you married when you were young and you were anonymous. “

Critics alleged that the thanksgiving service was more like a memorial service for late Clara Oshiomhole as the Governor kept mentioning her name throughout the service.

Many people expecting to see joyful expression on their faces were disappointed as the couple refused to smile at the cameras.

Oshiomhole’s in-laws, Mr & Mrs Jesus Fortes weren’t smiling, the bride look like someone that was forced into the marriage by the expression on her face.

This is one awkward thanksgiving service. Ain’t nothing as true love and money can never buy it.
