Governor Okorocha Begs Bishop Oyedepo To Build Covenant University Campus In Imo State, Promises To Give Land
The Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church, Bishop Olaniyi Oyedepo was in Imo State on Tuesday after last Sunday’s foiled bomb attack on a Living Faith Church Headquarter in Owerri.
He used the opportunity to say a quick hello to Imo State Governor Okorocha where he thanked him for the quick intervention of security operatives that averted the planned tragedy.
Bishop Oyedepo said the nation was being plagued by Boko Haram insurgency, which had taken a great toll on the lives and property of innocent Nigerians and prayed God to intervene as well as imbue the nation’s leaders with the wisdom to stem the growing cancer of insurgency and terrorism.
Oyedepo, who stressed that prompt action was needed by government at all levels to keep terrorism under check, noted that Boko Haram was beyond politics and urged all to join hands to fight the menace to ensure a peaceful and united Nigeria.
Okorocha commended Oyedepo for his visit and assured that the state government was not relenting in its efforts to ensure security of lives and property of residents.
He pointed out that the security and progress of Imo State were anchored on God as the state observed 10 minutes daily devotion to God. “Imo State is fortified by the Holy Ghost,” he maintained.
Okorocha commended the Living Faith Church for its role in uplifting the spiritual lives and promoting education in the country.
The Governor also used the opportunity to appealed to Oyedepo to build a Covenant University campus in Imo State. He promised to provide the land free of charge.

Thank God for averting this tragedy. Only God knows what could have happened if they had succeeded in bombing the church.
Pls Governor Rochas should concentrate on security and not politics

@ Cocomaster bravo to you for your most intelligent question, your asked a fundamental question, now tink Further, who or what are boko haram? who’s behind them, why is the insurgency on the increase as we approach 2015, why are international communities US, Israel, EU etc swooping down into Nigeria, Why was Petroleum Subsidy taken off at that time, what is Nigerians Role internationally and why is Africa coaxed into chaos, who benefits from world destabilization? who is benefiting from the crisis in the middle east, Egypt syria etc, is Nigeria targeted for Destruction, are they using muslem and christian conflict as a yardstick to set the course for civil war, there are a lot of questions like the intelligent one you asked pls dig deeper to find out more…. God help Nigeria against this dark cloud that is hovering above it.
