All Progressives Congress, APC party candidate Buhari and running mate Osinbajo had a meeting with some Catholic Bishops on Tuesday in the Federal Capital Territory.
While speaking during the 1-hour long event, Buhari made it known that he is not a religious extremist and had no personal agenda to convert Nigeria into an Islamic country.
GMB said he is a practicing Muslim with no extreme view of Islam.
He further said that his record in the military and his past administration can confirm his religious view.
“I will not condone any initiative that seeks to promote one religion over the other. Neither I, nor my party, or any member of my team has any desire or plan to Islamize or Christianize Nigeria or support anyone with such intention.
Although I am a practising Muslim, and I have been so all my life, I have never belonged to, nor shared the views of, any extremist group. I am not even a cleric. I believe that religion is personal and private.” – Buhari told Catholic priests

I think it’s important for General Mohammad Buari and his running mate – professor Osinbanjo to rebuffed all the negative propaganda by desperate president Jonathan and his team of paid bloggers by active communication, meetings, and remembering all Nigerian people of his past records of achievements as a military governor, petroleum minister, and finally as a patriotic Nigerian former Head of State. President Badluck Jonathan and his criminal political operatives know what General Buari stands for, they are aware of his progressive ideas, discipline, and the General core principles; but because of their desperate attempt for their Vagabond, corrupt, unpatriotic and imcompentent president to remain in power after six years of setbacks, they have resulted to lying, false propaganda, deformation of characters, voter’s intimidation, voter’s suppression and eventually election fraud. President Badluck Jonathan knows for sure that he cannot win reelection in a free and fair manner because of his wickedness towards suffering Nigerian people, his imcompentence, and his record of failures. That was the main reason why the presidential election date that was initially scheduled for February 14, 2015 was postponed for no good reasons. If the election results are tampered with through massive election fraud, president Badluck Ebele Jonathan will be overthrow in a bloody military coup That will take us back to another military regime. My advice for this failed president and his criminal and corrupt allies is to allow free and fair election to take place on March 28th, 2015, and this president should be ready to attempt defeat, move on, and allow people’s choice to govern. General Buari is not an extremist but a great, competent, discipline and patriotic Nigerian citizen.
