oct 16,2011 – Nigerian striker, Battholomew Ogbeche, may be set for a move to England as Championship’s side, Middlesbrough, have handed an opportunity to prove himself at trials.
The 27-year-old left Greek side Kavala as a free agent after moving to the club in 2010. In his one-year stint in Greece, Ogbeche score once in 20 appearances.
However, the striker seems to be back on form after scoring twice in Boro’s development squad 5-2 victory at Blackburn this week.
Manager Tony Mowbray is keeping him on for an extended look with a view to offering him a deal.
Ogbeche first grabbed headlines as a 17-year-old at Paris St Germain and went to the World Cup in 2002.
He made 11 appearances and netted 3 goals for the Super Eagles.
