In a thought-provoking address during his visit to traditional rulers in Ogun State, President Bola Tinubu emphasized the need for patience and perseverance in tackling the challenges facing Nigeria. President Tinubu’s visit commenced with a private audience with the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, at his palace in Ijebu. Subsequently, he proceeded to the palace of the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, where he delivered his poignant message.

Arriving in an impressive presidential chopper, President Tinubu was warmly received by Governor Dapo Abiodun, former governors Senator Ibikunle Amosun and Segun Osoba, former Speaker of the House of Representatives Dimeji Bankole, and other dignitaries. The president’s entourage included notable figures such as the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and presidential spokesperson, Dele Alake.

During his address at the Alake’s palace, President Tinubu expressed gratitude to the people for their resilience amid economic hardships and fuel scarcity. He acknowledged their support in the face of challenging circumstances and humbly asked for their continued patience as the country navigates the path to progress. He shared his newfound understanding of the responsibilities and demands of the presidency, vowing to fulfill his campaign promises and deliver on the aspirations of the Nigerian people.
