Oct 11, 2011 – Two Nigerian Muslim pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia -One of the deceased persons was knocked down by a car in Medina
Alhaji Abdullahi Mukhtar, the Commissioner of Operations of the National Hajj Commission, has announced that two Nigerian pilgrims have died during this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
Mukhtar told newsmen, on Monday in Abuja, that one of the deceased persons, who was from Nasarawa State, was knocked down by a car in Medina. He said that the other pilgrim, from Borno State, died in Nigeria while boarding an aeroplane to the Holy Land.
The commissioner, who described the incident as “sad”, however said it was “the will of Allah who giveth and taketh”.
