Former Internal Affairs Commissioner and intelligence chief, Umaru Ali Shinkafi lost his battle to lung cancer and multiple organ failure in London last week.

The retired policeman who hails from Zamfara state died of cancer at a treatment facility in London around 4:07pm on Friday.

His corpse is expected to be flown back to Nigeria tomorrow.

He will be laid to rest on Friday the 8th of July 2016.
