Sept 10, 2012Special Prayers Day For Nigeria Holds September 22, 2012

Nigerian leaders, including President Goodluck Jonathan, Senate President David Mark, will on 22 September, 2012, converge at the Liberty Stadium, Ibadan, Oyo State, for a fervent prayer against divisive tendencies in Nigeria. naijagists.com

Religious leaders slated for the prayer session include the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God,( RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye and Pastor David Oyedepo of Living Faith.

Prophet Okoduwa Atorkpa, Coordinator, Nigeria National Fasting and Prayer Day, who made this known during a press conference in Benin City, yesterday, said this year’s event is coming at a time when the Country is confronted with difficult challenges threatening the cooperate unity of the Country.

The Cleric said the theme for the national conference “God save Nigeria” was a divine revelation noting that “the only way to resolve all problems bedeviling the nation is to call on God to save Nigeria. For Nigeria to experience greater peace unity and prosperity there must be a forsaking of all that are displeasing to God and also a corresponding return obedience to God’s revealed will.”

“The vision came in 1998 and we came on board in 2002, the very first programme was the world fasting day. We have been hosting this programme since then from Abuja to Lagos, Benin and this year we are moving to Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. This year’s theme, (God Save Nigeria) was dropped in my heart by God. And as we prayed together the Lord says we should dedicate the Country to him through prayers and so here we are. All we are saying today is that if there is anything the Country has neglected is National Prayers.

“I want to make it clear that no individual or group of person can save Nigeria except God. The position we are now is so blink so we require the presence of God because the battle in Nigeria today is spiritual,” he said.

Commenting on the menacing activities of Boko Haram in the Northern part of the Country, the clergyman submitted that the worst form insurgency by any sect in the Country, be it Boko Haram or Kidnapping is corruption, ethnicity and misplaced priority, adding that “our problem is not Boko Haram but corruption at a mega scale.”

On prediction for Nigeria Break up, he said that it was never the mind of God for Nigeria.

“That is why this programme is important, it is not the mind of God. And that is why we need to pray so that their prophesy will not come to past. Nigeria cannot break up if we pray. Those who are saying Nigeria should break are indirectly saying their family should break and that will bring a lot of great pain,” the Cleric added.

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land”. 2 Chronicles 7:14

All this prayers and show of hipocrisy is nonsense. Adeboye, oyedepo david mark and jonathan should sell their jets and try to be equal to a normal Nigerian, then , everything will be okay.Asia, Europe and America never prayed to fix-in their economy. There’s need for equality and not prayer. There is need for sincerity. They should creat jobs. Oyedepo and G.o should pay their staffs well. It’s dare time we Nigerians should not believe all these feign words again. Religion is not Nigerian problem, neither tribalism. We stay abroad- Ibo, yoruba, Hausa and all other tribes. We never have problem of coexisting together. It is the thief thief that causes problem.Rulers should creat projects to creat job. Not those vain gathering of prayers.

we don’t need prayers, Nigerians are been deceived to believe it is prayers or God is our problem. But it is these leaders who are responsible for our woes.. They should think on development programmes and creat jobs and not those gathering of vain persons they called clergys. They should sell the jets they have cunningly acquired through church and mosques money and use it to create job and development projects, and not those nonsense.
