Sept 2nd, 2013 – 9 Adamawa PDP Members, Convention Delegates Killed In Car Accident; Dead Bodies Moved To Mortuary

In the early hours of Sunday the 1st of September 2013, 9 members of Nigeria’s ruling party, PDP met their untimely death while returning from PDP convention that held in Abuja yesterday.

9 PDP members reportedly died on the spot while several others suffered severe injuries.

The accident happened along Abuja-Jos highway.

According to Federal Road Safety Commission officials, the car accident happened about 38km from Kafanchan on the forest route around 8am on Sunday morning.

The 2 vehicle that collided, a Volkswagen Salon car and a Toyota Hiace bus carrying the delegates were completely destroyed.

The injured have been transferred to Kafanchan General Hospital.
