Let our leaders clap their hands for this backward and shameful achievement. In spite of the fact that hundreds of billions of naira have been allocated over the years to upgrading our already decayed power sector, many businesses have crumbled and completely liquidated due to epileptic power supply. The totally poor electricity supply has forced several reputable companies out of the country to places like ghana and other african countries thereby throwing many of our youths into joblessness and boosting other countries economy rather than ours. The cost of petrol and diesel to run the imported generators has further depleted the account of many and thrown them into bankruptcy. The air pollution due to continuous use of this alternative power supply is also a major concern as many people’s health have been adversely affected. Indeed Our leaders should cover their face in shame for this heartbreaking new report. It shows that real development to our country is still 100 years away. What a shame to Nigeria!

If it is easy for our leaders to import chemical weapon to kill all of us, they will do it, our leaders who don’t have shame, our leaders who are not concerned about its citizen, it is only in Nigeria that the killings of innocent people are justified either in the name of religion or political party differences, it only in this country the leaders don’t say anything if herdsmen kill all of us in one day , they never come on TV and say we are sorry ,it is only in this country that citizen are treated like dead chicken, but one day God will reward them all with their evil no matter where they belong, it will not save them. just to get a light for the Nigerian masses, it is war, yes, some of them will like to visit North Korea to buy biological weapon just to kill its citizen, import more Generators so that your generation will suffer the effect, may God Lord save the poor and innocent Nigerian citizen

This is a mind boggling issue to me personally because of its negative consequence in lives of many innocent Nigerians that at stake. The different between we Black people and the White counterparts is the way we reason. We so focus our attention on money and the kind of enjoyment we can derive in having a lot of it while white people focus on how to use money for the betterment of their people and their society at large.
It is not that we cannot have a clean and renewable energy in Nigeria but the love of money and selfish idea of our people especially those in the leadership position have turned our situation from bad to worst. The people are not interested about quality of lives of many of us are living in as much they can have enough money to take care of themselves and their family members.
Apart from denigrating us as a giant of Africa, this selfish act has contributed greatly to our increasing in death rate. Nigerians are just seeing generator as a cheap item that can quickly solve the problem of our epileptic power but the effect of this generator outweigh its benefit. Our Ozone system is so bad now that if care is not taken, people will continue to die of undiagnosed diseases if special measure is not taken to address this problem.
There should be a total ban on these devices that emit 90% of carbon dioxide in Nigeria. There should be restriction in using Bikes(Okada) and Tri-Cycle but right now our major problem is our excessive use of generators. There are lot of diseases that can emanate from using generator such as Asthma, Lung disease, Blood Clot, Heart disease, Emphysema, COPD and death. The Country that sells Generator does not use them They only ship them to third world Countries.
The issue of green house gas emission has been taken seriously by most of advance Nations that, they are now building low carbon emission cars or clean energy cars. These are the cars that emit little carbon monoxide in the air because of its impart in humanity.

Not only death through inhaling toxic pollutants in the air caused by generators, what about all the deaths from generators exploding in people’s faces or petrol placed inside homes? My friend’s sister in law and three children died through explosion of petrol can many years ago. There is no one person that can fix Nigeria. How can one person be trying to fix what another 40 million are willfully destroying? What magical formula can make the country right under such conditions? The generator importers are making money at the expense of the health of their fellow country men, women and children, but don’t care – as long as the musicians keep praising them with the filthy money they spray at parties. Any move to improve electricity production or infrastructure is blocked by those profiting from the sad saga of Nigeria. What is the usefulness of money without good health? Nigerian leaders have no shame or dignity. Tell me one thing that works in Nigeria, except fraud. Good luck, guys.
