A suspected armed robber was burned alive by an irate mob after dispossessing church members of their belongings at gunpoint in Warri, Delta State.

The suspect and two others had stormed the church located in the busy Kolokolo area of Warri and dispossessed worshippers of their valuables.

According to sources the bandits shot severally into the air, ordering everybody to lie face down and dispossessed them of their money, GSM handsets as well as the offering.
Nemesis, however, caught up with the hoodlums when some of the worshippers, who managed to escape, raised the alarm, which attracted passers-by. Sensing that their game was up, two of the robbers narrowly escaped but the third was apprehended and given the beating of his life and set ablaze.
