Nigerian University Lecturers Suspend Ongoing 2013 Strike
Homebound Nigerian higher institution students are now set to head back to school after ASUU (Academic Staff Union of Universities) called off its five month old strike today.
A panel has been set up by NANS (The National Association of Nigerian Students) to monitor the utilization of the 200 Billion Naira fund Nigerian FG gave to Universities as parts of its end strike deal.
Comrade Yinka Gbadebo, NANS President made this known today during a press briefing.
After a marathon meeting that took place at FUT(Federal University of Technology) in Minna, Niger state today, the 16th of December 2013, the Union arrived at the decision to suspend the strike.
