President elect-Muhammadu Buhari just declared that stealing in indeed corruption.
This is in contrary to what President Jonathan said in a media briefing few years back.
In a press statement yesterday, Buhari said all the acts of corruption will be regarded as stealing under his administration.
In his words:
“from now on let all be notified that stealing shall be corruption and likewise acts of corruption shall be regarded and dealt with as stealing. Let there be no ambiguity.”
Buhari said a new law that will officially tag stealing as corruption will soon be applied to help the nation overcome financial crisis.
