You might have come across a story that reads Bus carrying passengers plunges into Lagoon……..

Please disregard this story, it is a hoax.

Two top Nigerian media houses (name withheld) who initially shared the hoax have deleted the posts from their websites.

According to NaijaGists.com investigation, this hoax stems from jobless individuals who love to circulate unfounded story.

A visit to NEMA’s official Twitter page said nothing in regards to the story.

A bus carrying unspecified number of passengers, has reportedly plunged into the Lagos state Lagoon.

Among the unspecified number of commuters was a baby. Eyewitnesses reported that the incident occurred at the intersection of Oworonsoki  and Yaba enroute Obalende.

National Emergency Management Agency’s (NEMA) spokesperson, South-West, Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed the incident and stated that rescue operation were ongoing.
