University of Benin, UNIBEN‘s officials on Oct 3rd, 2012 handed over 143 students of the institution to police authority in the area over an alleged certificate forgery. naijagists.com
Some of the arrested are from the Faculties of Life & Management Sciences, Engineering and Social Studies.
Prof Osayuki Oshodin, the current VC of the University said some of the students were caught during their 2nd semester exam.
Here is what Oshodin said:
“We arrested some persons who engaged in certificate racketeering and we are going to flush out any member of staff involved in these illegal activities.
“Some of the students involved in this fake admission, have been arrested and are with the police now. We cannot tolerate illegalities in this university and we appeal to parents to monitor their children to ensure that they are not involved in such a vice.”

There should be a complete overhaul of our educational system cos it is in shambles.if we continue like this i bet you in no distant time our half baked graduate will not be able to compete with graduates of other contries

Well I think d school authorities should put more of such machinery in place to help check mate these illegality in the University community, there are lots of such students in the school some of them also engage impersonation during exams.
