As Nigeria’s telecommunication giant Etisalat is preparing to leave the country, one of its lenders, Guaranty Trust Bank has spoken.

GTBank CEO, Segun Agbaje disclosed today that the Nigerian affiliate of Abu Dhabi-listed telecoms company Etisalat had given notice to its Nigerian lenders that it would miss a payment on a $1.2 billion loan in February.

Agbaje said the company is still owing Guaranty Trust Bank a whopping N42billion.
