July 19, 2015 – Fuji Star Adewale Ayuba Turns Born Again Christian “The Day I Gave My Life To Jesus Christ Was My Happiest Day”

Fuji star Adewale Ayuba who turned 50 few weeks ago in a quick chat with a Lagos-based Magazine publisher narrated how his study of the bible brought him closer to Jesus.

The musician who claimed that he is now a born again Christian said he had to let go of people’s opinion before he could surrender his life to Jesus Christ.

See interview excerpts:

When do you consider as your happiest day?

I will not lie to you. When I remember the day I gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ, I am happy, the day I became a born again, that was my happiest day. Now I realise this life is to worship God.

As a Fuji musician from Islamic background, it is strange that you are a born again. What made you take that decision?

It’s what brought me to Fuji music. I don’t know. I remember I had a lot of Alfas who came to pray for me and when they left, I would still go to my room to read the Bible. I think my conviction was in the Bible. It got to a stage that my children would be laughing. They would say, ‘Daddy, choose one’. But I did not want to pick because of Fuji.

Fuji has Islamic origin, my background, how would my family feel? I don’t want to offend this, I don’t want to offend that but I discovered that religion or belief has nothing to do with your musical life and no one says we are listening to your music because of your personal life or so.

Ayuba who is married to Azuka, a member of the Living Faith Church International currently attends Winners Chapel. He has on many occasions led worship at some branches of the  Redeemed Christian Church Of God , RCCG in Lagos

  1. well, i gave thanks to God almighty for his tough decission and i pray that God wi continue to guide him. moreover, he need to be security and religiously conscious of some fanatics.

  2. Anything to amaze anyone here?. None. It’s not far-fetched to figure out he would become a christian some day with respect to his recent activities.

    Good-luck bro!

  3. Adewale Ayuba is an indecisive individual, despite being one of the early Fuji dicoveries alongside his contemporaries, he has failed to establish his potentials in his chosen musical career. Any surprise he is left in the middle of the road while following on the tail of a woman to become born again Christian.? There may be nothing wrong becoming a christian if the decision to do so is based on personal conviction rather than one to re-establish ones love for a woman.

    • Bros, it doesn’t matter who led u to Christ, the most important thing is that you find, believe and accept His (Chris’s) love demonstrated on the Cross for man’s salvation. Romans 10:9-17. May the Lord bless the wife that helped her husband to see the light of God. For me, what he did was bold. So many people have stumbled on the truth about Christ, even in their Quran and they never come out to say it. It has nothing to do with religion. It’s about accepting the provision that God Himself made for the salvation of man. God gave many testimonies about Christ… you may want to find out.

  4. I’m happy for you bro,you have caused great joy in heaven bcos of your decision the Lord will help you to the end.

  5. Wow !It is good to give ones’ children sound and firm beginning or how can one describes this; someone dumps gold for gold-plated metal, I pity him so much because if he truly read bible as he claimed, he could’ve discovered that Jesus Christ was himself a good Muslim as it was written in the bible and Christianity was not there until about 100 years after the departure of Jesus, read Act 26 verse 11….It was Saul{Paul}an avowed enemy of Christ who masterminded the game. So which religion did Jesus practise

    • You dey mind him. He claimed his father is a “muslim scholar”. He started his confusion with marrying more than one wife that Islam does not permits it.

Well, it’s free world they say. He has the right to choose whichever religion he wants. But when he’s in his grave, and the angels appear to him with terrible punishment, then, he will realize there is no freedom of religion. That will be too late my friend.

    • @Faith,You Christian so diverse in your opinion !If Christianity is not a religion, then what religion do you people follow and can you show us in the bible any sample Jesus laid down as a mode of worship…Or does Jesus asked anybody to observe songs of praise or Sunday service or Saturday service as you people do nowadays, you cannot find any of these in the bible all you’re doing today are pure innovation and Paul-made !

  7. Are women not important in marriage? Why would u say that? Put religious apart, do whatever will bring joy to your heart is the most fulfilling thing. I don’t and can never subscribe to your idea, most men failed because they refuse to listen to their wifes sometimes or @ crucial period. Knows for a fact that religion has created a gap between humanity and God because we do not follow the precept of God but our own bogus belief. Religion led Nigeria to where it is now. I don’t know you guyz will wake up and leave whoever think that Xtianity/ISlamic the way alone. Gaskia. Make una rest, stop giving yourself headache jooh

  8. is a pity that the people we gave position in Islam don’t even know the value, I was born as a Muslim and insha ALLAH I will die in Islam .Eni ti afi je oye awodi ti kole gbe ediye, haaaaaaaa now I believe the world is going to an end.I will take this opportunity to advice all brothers and sisters in Islam, Don’t stop praying for him because only Allah can bring him back” Islam is the only way to the paradise” YES I KNW

  9. advise to all Muslim please teach all your children the benefit and the value of Islam not just sending them to Arabic school without teaching them how valuable our religion is .Oh Allah pls guide my children to the right path, in you I believe, in you I trust. Oh Allah even if their wives mislead them pls show them the way , even if their mum mislead them pls show them the way because you are the only one that can direct mankind to the right path

  10. oh Allah pls show my children the right way even if Satan want to mislead them , woman are devil

    • You obviously dont know what you are saying. If you are praying to allah concerning your children, why would you now refer to women as devil? Is it not the same allah that made your mother and wife. That means the devil gave birth to you and your children. You actually need the right knowledge of life. Only Jesus Christ can give you anyway. Jesus loves you.

  11. i know that there are many traditions, faith and beliefs in the world today. And in many case we tend to be follow the direction that is prevalent in our place of upbringing. Have you ever taken time to really question the things you say you believe? There will always be arguments and staunch stands taken to support one’s choice but it is important that we do so with the right reasons… The one that is telling truth is not really know by who wins the argument. Truth is not in numbers or loudness. Truth is truth no matter how it sounds…. Will you bend the truth to please the world around you? Would you bend the truth to please yourself and win an argument? Remember, you are responsible for your life. Before God, you can not blame your pastor, priest, imam or president. and on that day you can not reverse your choice. Are you chosing because of fame, money, fear of family, friends, societal influence, seeming outward beauty, the benefits for your flesh, …….or whatever.
So be careful when you say you have chosen, Be careful to ensure that you have chosen rightly.

  12. Am so happy for you because the Bible made it clear to us in john 3:3-21 EXCEPT A MAN IS BORN AGAIN, HE CANNOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD, This is the time for you to meditate the word of God. Joshua 1:8, Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:4.
