May 2nd, 2017 – The Gods Are Angry: Fire Destroys Lagos King Oba Rilwan Akiolu Eleko Of Eko’s Palace Days After Insulting Ooni Of Ife

In what critics are calling the anger of the gods, Oba Eleko of Eko, Rilwan Akiolu’s palace has been gutted by fire.

The wild fire which broke out from his bedroom at the Igan Iduganra area of Lagos Island around 1:30pm today set smokes billowing to the sky, a sight which attracted a huge crowd to the area.

While many were pointing at the anger of the gods for the mystery fire, others said it was caused by the malfunctioning AC unit in Akiolu’s bedroom.

Expensive furnitures and household items worth over 2.5million were destroyed by the wild fire before the officials of Lagos Fire Service managed to contain it.

This bizarre occurrence is happening barely a week after the controversial monarch insulted the person of Ooni of Ife and refused to apologise.

The Ooni of Ife Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi  initially threatened to invoke the anger of the gods but later took back his words.

A critic who urged Akiolu to humble himself and apologise to the Ojaja II of Yorubaland said this is not a mere coincidence.

  1. Oba of lagoon is stronger than any fire, Oba do not run or apologize to anyone, the fire is not as a result of your beaf with Onii, stay strong and keep your calm.

  2. Please nobody should drag the kabiyesi into this o. They said it was caused by electrical fault youre talking about “gods”again. Please the Ooni should be respected and he should not be dragged into this o.
