June 27, 2013 – Governor Jonah Jang Blasts Amaechi “I’m Old Enough To Be Your Father” (Video)

The ongoing battle in the Nigerian Governors Forum is getting messier daily.

In this recent interview, the Governor of Plateau state, Jonah Jang blasts Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi over the current unrest in NGF.

Speaking to journalist at the sideline of the dinner organised by President Goodluck Jonathan to celebrate his mid-term in office, Mr Jang said he is old enough to be Mr Amaechi’s father.

Hear what Jang said to Amaechi below;

“Amaechi is my younger brother, infact, I can say son because if you look at Amaechi’s age, I’m old enough to be his father.”

This is really annoying…. can’t they just respect each other….

Gov Jang is typical of what’s wrong with Nigeria, we’re 50 years back in dark ages with this type of statement.

Shame on all our Leaders, I mean all. What are you doing at the ago of 70. Instead of you to be praying for your last day on earth.

Does Jang expect Amaechi to respect him on the grounds of seniority rather than legitimacy? With what he said to Amaechi, it shows that we are not yet ready for development we are looking foreward to. We should look at issues not sentimental abuses, please.

Africans believe so much that Elders should/must be respected especially those who would accept publicly that 19 is greater than 16 just like 70 is greater than 50.

I think this issue of Amaechi and Jang is becoming a distraction. This country is in a shambles for God’s sake! Pls the two Governors should discontinue this rift and put heads together to move our great nation foward.

This goes to show that election can never be free and fair in Nigeria. If you think PDP is ready for credible election come 2015, then you are getting it wrong. Am happy for the way Nigeria is run today, all those expecting fresh air are having it more than double. It is high time you woke up from your slumber and face the reality. Nigerians are the most happy people on earth, take it or leave it. Our economy is doing well. Pls do not ask me why in case you are getting confused Madam Okonjo Iweaka, the finance minister is there to attest to that. What more on security matter we are also doing well pls get the facts from Media, the Television, Newspaper and social media are all living witnesses. Where has your embedded sentiment landed you? Jonathan. Then God will not forgive you if you ever raised your voice againt Jonathan in condermnation of whatever this Administration deem fit because you voted him. All i know is that when the bad leader rules there is sorrow and calamity in the land but when the righteous rule people rejoice. God bless Nigeria.

This’s a mess! If elders could do such a thing, what else would be expected the from younger ones. The truth is that, the root cause of all our problems in Nigeria is our elder failure to act responsible.

  16. So what??

    June 28, 2013 at 7:19 PM

Old enough to be his father, also means you should

    1. Pave way for his newer fresher generation
    2. Not ignore elections
    3. Even if you are not content with results of the NGF election, – your announced age, should have lent you reason enough to opt out of the association – and form your own with the other disgruntled governors –
NOT TO IGNORE the results and start parading yourself as the HEAD of NGF.

    4. You have almost no shame

To God we committ the ruling of this country. Our leaders have failed woefully and all they know is to serve their selfish interest.Whatever the case may be there is nothing that has begining that will not have end. As God delivered the Isrelite from the Egpytian bondage so shall Nigerians be delivered from the bondage of bad leadership amen.
