September 20, 2017 – Hausa Movie Director Blasts Kano Emirate Council For Giving Korede Bello Chieftaincy Title Of Sarkin Waka
A Popular Kannywood movie producer and director Falalu Dorayi has come after Kano Emirate council for installing Lagos-based musician Korede Bello as the Sarkin Waka of Kano.
Though Korede bagged the title for his contribution to music, Dorayi said the title is meant for indigenous Hausa singers in Kano only.
He condemned the action of the Emirate Council for selling the birthright of Kano indigenes to strangers.
