5 Effective Ways To Make Good Use Of Time
5 Important Tips On Making Good Use Of Your Time
Everyday has exactly 24 hours not an hour more or less. However, achieving things for a lot of people is quite hard because they have not learnt the craft of time management.
Here are 5 important tips on making good use of your time
- Avoid the parasite “Procrastination”
Procrastination is like a parasite that eats solely into time. It hinders growth and leads to delayed achievement. If one continues to procrastinate, nothing gets done. Therefore, it is advised that you try to avoid this parasite at all cost if you are willing to make the most of your time.
- Have a goal
Without a goal, it will be hard to determine the stage of progress you are on. You wouldn’t have anything in view to work towards and in this way, waste of time occurs frequently. Making good use of your time more efficiently becomes even more real if you have a goal to achieve. Whether it’s a short-term goal or a long-term goal, see to it that you set a goal for yourself.
- Set a time limit
It is not advisable to only have a goal and not set a time limit for it; it will be almost the same as not having a goal. When you set a goal, speculate the time it should take to achieve it and set it. This will set you on the path to achieving it as well as pressure you positively on why you have to keep going.
- Schedule your time
For you to make good use of your time and achieve your goal within the time frame set, it is advisable that you draw a schedule of how you want your time to be spent. This will allow you to fix the things you have to do as well as the time for them. Scheduling also helps you to limit the time wasted.
- Keep in mind that something will suffer
This is a technique I have learnt to use to encourage myself. For everything you do or every minute you spend doing the useless or unnecessary, always remember that something will suffer the impact- most likely the goals you have set. Of course, this doesn’t mean that you should become a workaholic without break, take breaks when necessary. You might as well even fix them on your schedule; but however, do not let it expand the time you have set for it. Also, do not over pressure yourself. But anytime you get yourself into something useless, you are shifting away from your schedule and something will suffer for it!.
I encourage you to invest your time wisely today.
