April 27, 2014 – Imo First Lady, Rochas Okorocha’s Wife Nneoma Nkechi Builds Houses For 2 Widows
Two indigent widows from Njaba and Nwangele council areas of the state, yesterday became proud owners of new two-bedroom bungalows built by the wife of the Imo State governor, Mrs. Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha through her pet project, “She Needs A Roof Project”.
Commissioning the new two bedroom bungalowswhich were also furnishedby SNARP Phase III for the widows, Mrs Okorocha pointed out that the only way to live a meaningful life on earth was to affect the lives of the needy, especially the widows.
She reiterated the resolve of the Rochas Okorocha administration to improve the lives of the masses through people-oriented programmes and policies.
Mrs. Okorocha maintained that for Imo State to become a better place for all, everyone must learn to be his brother’s keeper. She therefore urged all wealthy Imolites to take up responsibility of caring for the less privileged.
The two beneficiaries, Mrs Patience Onyemepu, from Ugbele Okwu, Umunka in Njaba and Mrs Egojiuka Chilaka from Umuezeala Ihu, Amadara, Agbajah in Nwangele LGA, in emotion-laden voices expressed their profound gratitude to Mrs Okorocha whom they acknowledged as their God sent rescuer.
In addition to their new homes, the widows were empowered financially to start up petty trading as well as had their ward robes completely changed.
