August 24, 2015 – Ini Edo: Long Distance & Husband’s Family Crashed My Marriage

Nollywood actress Ini Edo was a guest on Monday’s edition of Rubbin Minds with Ebuka Uchendu.

During the show, the actress addressed her marriage crash and many other issues.

Hear what she said about her failed marriage:

“I entered married early because I wanted to raise a family while young. My marriage was an experience I will never regret. My husband was the last child of his family so his family members interfered in our marriage. He interfered in my career as a good husband but along the line, we couldn’t find a common ground. My hubby and I were apart from each other and this affected our marriage. May be if we were together, it would have helped. For now I don’t want marriage, I just want to fix my life and move on.

Ok. You are a great actress and a successful one at that! You however chose your career over your marriage. If the issue was long distance, why couldn’t you go and stay with your husband? A number of Nollywood actresses moved abroad to be with their husbands and raise the family they desired, so if you chose your career, don’t blame your marriage crash on anyone but yourself. If your career is more important, don’t delve into marriage because marriage is selflessness and compromise. Giving up something for another thing. Do whatever makes you happy. If staying single and having an amazing career is your desire and is what makes you happy, then go for it. Remember though that you cannot eat your cake and have it. Sacrifices have to be made somehow.

most of these so called self proclaimed actresses have sugar daddies in nigeria and have a young man here abroad, the only reason they marry them here is for papers, for easy assess to travel abroad or to settle down here in future or for their children to gain western education , thats all, i see a lot of them here , hanging dearly to guys here, they are used to the high life and quick to get out when it doesn’t work
