June 2, 2017 – Lagos Police Inspector Musa Sunday On Illegal Duty Kidnapped & Buried Alive In Ibeju Lekki, Traditional Ruler & 5 Others Arrested
Police have arrested a traditional ruler who allegedly ordered his boys to bury a police inspector on illegal duty alive in Ibeju Lekki area of Lagos.
Inspector Musa Sunday and his four men were said to have been drafted to guard a land under dispute at Ibeju Lekki.
The deployment of the police officers was never authorized by Lagos Police CP Fatai Owoseni but Inspector Musa couldn’t reject the illegal deployment authorized by his superior.
However while they were guarding the land, thugs from Ibeju Lekki traditional ruler attacked them and seized their weapons.
The four other policemen attached to Inspector Musa Sunday took to their heels while the hoodlums took Inspector Musa Sunday away.
They allegedly starved him for five days and since no policemen were deployed to the area to rescue him, the traditional ruler ordered his boys to bury Musa alive.
This happened back in November 2016.
After 6 months, his skeletal remains were recovered from a shallow grave in Ibeju Lekki.
The traditional ruler and five others have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of Inspector Musa Sunday.
