The producer of Memoirs of 4, an upcoming Nollywood movie that will start showing in cinemas on the 28th of February has narrated how a Nollywood actress stole her script and used it to promovie without her consent.

“I have always found joy and fulfillment in writing scripts. I just write and keep them. Then one day, a friend of mine who is in Nollywood came around, saw one my scripts and took it.

I thought she was just going through it. But to my utmost surprise, she went ahead and produced the script without crediting me. Her excuse was that, they had to change certain things in the script. That taught me a big lesson. I later decided to produce one of my scripts, Memoirs of 4.”

The Ondo born scripter recalled the challenges she faced as a fresh face in the industry.

“At a point, I ran out of funds. I had to pause for a while to get myself back together. The production kicked off in 2015 and lasted till 2017 and had popular faces like Adesua Etomi, Linda Ejiofor, Joseph Benjamin, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Frederick Leonard, and Tina Mba. Alex Mouth directed the movie. But it wasn’t easy having all these good hands in a production as a first timer” .

Meanwhile, Memoirs of 4 would the hit the cinemas nationwide on February 28.
