Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe is the saddest woman on earth at the moment as the father she allegedly refused to take proper care of (financially) has died.
According to sources close to the actress, Pa Aigbe whose health condition deteriorated after Mercy Aigbe’s marriage crashed hasn’t been receiving financial help from Mercy Aigbe’s estranged husband as he used to.
The lack of financial help we learnt contributed to his death.
Another Nollywood source NG called for information today revealed that the Mercy Aigbe fans see on the social media is stingy with money and that she only gave her aged father some token.
The source added that Aigbe’s ex-husband, Lanre Gentry was the reason the man lived this long as his daughter would rather spend on “Aso Ebi” (party wears) than to take him to the hospital or rather send him abroad for treatment.
We learnt Pa Aigbe died at the age of 81 at his home in Bariga Lagos on Sunday October 29, 2017.
On Mercy Aigbe’s whereabout, the source said the actress and her family members are busy with his burial preparations.

A man that died at the age of 81 is called an OLD MAN. He didnt die in his prime but lived to see the 3rd generation, therefore it is a celebration of life…..Whether Mercy was spending lavishly on him or not doesnt change anything and you should not get carried away by all the rubbish they flaunt on social media.

@ DB let me quickly correct you, its a child’s duty to take care of his or her parents whether the man lived a hundred year or not it is her duty to take proper care of him. Mercy has done a very bad thing by not taking care of her aged father and she should go and seek for forgiveness from God and please DB stop supporting evil and take good care of your own parents because with the way you’ve just sounded its obvious you are one of those people that gives a non challant attitude towards their parents. Note! Parents are semi gods so they should be worshipped as one. a word is enough for the wise o. I rest my case

I am neither a fan of Mercy nor a supporter of evil. Every parent should be taken care of by their children but may take on this is that you should not be carried away by the way Mercy flaunts herself on the social media, forget the fact that she is always at one party or the other, those are just symptoms of an empty life and it doesnt translate to being rich. Whether or not she took care of her father, you and I were not there, so dont always be in haste to rain insults on people like that when you dont have the facts. So Mj berry and Max, pls be guided.

So,you belong to the school of thought that encourages children not to take care of their parents?would the dead man eat from the cow and the amala she will prepare for the burial? or will the dead wear the Aso Ebi. They do the elaborate burial thing as fund raising and nothing more. You didn’t take care of your father, but now that he is dead you have money to call musician to come and perform as well as sell Aso Ebi. Yeye dey smell for your body. Accept my sympathy Mercy. If you know you did your best for your father it does not marrer what other people think. None of the people berating you knows the actual facts so try your best and give your dad a decent burial and God will bless you.
