Dec 25, 2014 – Mercy Johnson Secures Son’s Nigerian Passport At Naija Embassy Washington DC, Says Officials Are Polite

Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson Okojie who delivered her second child, a baby boy few weeks ago in Baltimore Maryland has secured a Nigerian passport for her child at the Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC.

In a chat with fans few days ago, the mother of two said she received a very warm reception at the embassy and that she’s unaware that some good people like the officials working at the Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC still existed.

In her own words:

“Good morning peeps, again I visited the Nigerian embassy at Washington DC and got great love. Yeah, thanks to all the embassy staffs in DC, am humbled. It’s our month of thanksgiving peeps. thanks again for all the love.”

Mercy Johnson took maternity break from Nollywood in July and travelled to the US where she delivered her son.

She is currently in Maryland with her hubby, Prince Odianosen Okojie.

It is absolutely outrageous that some of the Nollywood actresses have decided that their babies are too good to be born in Nigeria and Africa at large. Maybe Mercy and the others like herself should take up residence in America, where she would probably end up being a big star in Hollywood. Mercy is my favourite actress but I see no reason to continue to “support” her under these circumstances, and I hope the Nigerian government will start to impose a fee of N1,000,000 for passport of children born to some of these arrogant souls.

…Where is our self-confidence? We should understand that, overall, there are more opportunities in Africa and other so-called Third World regions than in Europe and America. Instead of running away permanently or temporarily, we should
aspire to stay home and build our communities.
