Nigerian beauty queen Fiona Amuzie, the founder of FOTIP and the winner of Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria beauty pageant in 2010 has recalled her most embarrassing moment.
The winner of Miss UJ 2009 recounts her ordeal at the United States Embassy in Nigeria a while back.
The 2nd year Coventry University student narrates how she was embarrassed by a Visa offiicer despite her regalia.
Hear Fiona Amuzie in her own words below;
“My most embarrassing experience happened at the US embassy. As a queen, I went there for the US visa in my full regalia, the dress, the crown, everything. And you won’t believe me, they denied me the visa. It was so embarrassing. I later went back after my reign as Fiona Amuzie and this time they gave me.”
American embassy officials care less about societal status when it comes to visa application approval.

nonsense.u wear full regalia thinkn that will move them to gv u visa..which societal status are u talkn about.were u bounced if u wear ur native attire..aboki de even get visa with babariga..be courteous

Che! sorry oo,I keep wondering how u must have felt standing up and leaving with everybody looking at you.I remember praying to be last person to be called when I went for my interview to avoid the embarrassment of public rejection,I nearly wet myself when my name was called not to talk of u in full attire like a sign post.Thank God u eventually made it.

Why should you appear in full regalia Just for visa application!,didn’t you have documented prove to show you were MBGN.
Your full regalia for visa application= desperation!
Please don’t call that embarrassing because you only be-little yourself more and Nigeria.

Americans are not like Nigerians who normally intoxicated by power and status you buried whatever you are when you get there otherwise you will be forced to come down. It’s here in Nigeria the officials will be shivering if they see whites.
