Nigeria Football Association Committee Queries Samson Siasia

Oct 10, 2011 – Nigeria Football Association Committee Queries Samson Siasia
The Technical Committee of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA), on Saturday night, issued a query to the Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Samson Siasia.
The NFA Chairman, Aminu Maigari, on Saturday, convened an emergency meeting of the committee.
The Chief Media Officer of the NFA, Ademola Olajire, who disclosed this in a press statement on Sunday in Abuja, said the query was issued as a result of Nigeria’s 2-2 draw with Guinea, at the qualifying final round for the African Nations Cup.
The draw placed the Eagles in second place, behind Guinea, and resulted in the team’s failure to qualify for the 2012 African Cup of Nations.
“This had followed Saturday’s failure of the Nigerian team to qualify for the 2012 African Cup of Nations, after it allowed a late equaliser by Guinea,” Olajire said.
The NFA spokesperson said the technical committee meeting was attended by Mr. Chris Green, Mr. Felix Anyansi-Agwu, Mr. Deji Tinubu, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, Mr. Austin Okocha, Mr. Victor Ikpeba, Mr. Garba Illa, Mr. Garba Lawal and Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme.
“The committee queried Siasia and asked him to explain the Eagles’ poor performance in the qualifying series within 48 hours,” Olajire said. Daily Times
