Over 3 months after battling severe kidney problem, Nollywood actor Chris Nkulor has passed on.

The popular movie star was home sick for a while before being transferred to OAU Teaching Hospital in Ile Ife Osun State for treatment.

According to entertainment insiders, because his colleagues couldn’t not raise the required 3 million naira for his kidney transplant surgery, he reportedly died due to lack of adequate care.

Before now, many of his colleagues have advised him to travel to India for treatment but considering the huge transportation fare and other expenses, the Enugu-based actor said he preferred to stay in Nigeria.

He passed away in the early hours of today on his hospital bed in Ile Ife.

Chris Nkulor’s death is a major blow to the Nollywood movie industry.

This year alone over 5 Nollywood celebrities have died.
