June 25, 2016 – Good News: Nigerian Resident Doctors Suspend Strike, Resume Work Monday June 27 2016

The association of Nigerian Resident Doctors has called off their indefinite nationwide strike which commenced on June 20, 2016.

The National Association of Resident Doctors, NARD told newsmen in Abuja today that the strike was suspended to enable the FG to fulfill NARD demands on or before July 14.

NARD President Dr Mohammad Askira said the doctors will resume work on Monday.

The association commenced strike on June 20 to press home its demands which included, non payment of salaries, non availability of residency training guidelines, among others.

  1. The need for strike action should be eliminated please. The tales of woe and miseries arising from this short period of doctors’ strike are beyond imagination.

  2. The only language that organised entities use to communicate to the govt is strike. What a sad thing when simple demands cannot be met until some people say they are not working again!
