Nigerian Soldier Punishes Man For Not Using Pedestrian Bridge

man punished nigerian soldier

Nov 5, 2013 – Nigerian Soldier Punishes Man For Not Using Pedestrian Bridge

The ongoing enforcement law in Lagos is getting serious each passing day.

The above scene is that of a corporately dressed man who shunned the Pedestrian Bridge and used the expressway at his own risk.

He was caught by a military officer who in turn disciplined him for not obeying the law.

Who is to be blamed, the military man or the pedestrian who is playing with his life?

  1. I think the man should be blamed many people are being killed for using the highway instead of the pedestrian cross bridge daily

  2. dis is a very good lesson to dis man and others who risk their life on daily basis crossing d express way. dis mopol is doing his job very well.he is not after 2o, 2o naira

  3. Abuse of power and intimidation, there should be a specific punishments for such action not public humiliation.unless that was the documented punishments.

    • I THINK THAT PUNISHING THIS MAN IN PUBLIC WOULD ALWAYS REMIND HIM THAT HE SHOULD USE THE RIGHT PLACE TO CROSS. IF THEY CAN DISGRACE SO MANY PEOPLE IN THIS WAY , THEY WOULD FOLLOW THE LAW PROPERLY. AND THOSE IN POWER TOO SHOULD BE PUNISH AND BE DISGRACE IN PUBLIC. WHOSOEVER THEY ARE .

  4. Only if dis type of discipline can be extended to 9ja corrupt politicians, then we’ll applaud their effort. d man tried to short cut. Na politic!

  5. Pls tell soldier man 2 go back to barracks, cos he should do is job imagine embarrassing d poor guy in public, tell am make him come go war he would surely go awol, but na we body soldier dey get power we bloody civillians, zombie

  6. That is not fair , I think a fine or if he can’t afford to pay fine he should do something we called community service, like help in doing some free work for govt. who is the mopol to punished him. That is what we are saying poor pple will suffer for life, why can’t he go and get all dis bad belle leaders . If he died in the process of this illegal judgement d mopol should be jail for life cos he does not even know the health status of the guy.

  7. Nigeria as a lawless country supposed to learn from the western nations, why not attach some Local government workers and police to the team?instead of leaving the destiny of nigerians in the hands of hungry / angry / unknown Nigerian Soldier, as you can see in the photo, the so called soldier hand is already on his gun who know what has happened to this gentle man,,, he must have jumped from frying pan to fire. Here in europe you don’t see soldiers in uniforms on the street but Naija unko? they are more than the normal man on the street yet crime is still on the very high side. GOD HELP MY COUNTRY NIGERIA.

  8. Correct, serves him rt. Dis i supose, is 2 serve as a warning siginal 2 oda intending violators.
Nigerians r good at Law breaking nt in Law keeping.
4 instance, if u place a sign dat reads “PLS NO SMOKING OR NO URINATE HERE“ Dat is whn d tedency 2 do it becomes irresitable 4 Nigerians.

  9. Bullish at best. In civilized societies, that man should’ve been handed over to the police. What if he has a heart disease, or any other decapitating illness and slumps from a stressed-induced heart attack? Soldiers have no place in disciplining civilians. Period! It’s just that the ‘bloody civilian’ mentality is driving them crazy, and some stupid pedestrians are not helping matters!!Nonsense zombie!!!

  10. This is very good. Naija people love to learn d hard way!
Though its not d soldier’s job, I’m in support of it!

  11. Although i do not condole the stupid behavior of the offender but the power drunk military man should be reprimanded while the accused who placed his life and drivers in danger should be arrested, tried in court of law and fined or jailed. That is true democracy. It is unfortunate that this unruly barbaric blemish is still happening only in Nigeria in this modern time.

  12. they said many days are 4 the thief a day is 4 the owner of the house, i think dats wat is happening in this issue, he can be used as a scape goat while others watch and learn

  13. Any of you that pass judgment to the young man regarding the jungle justice and humiliation he received from the foolish soldier is a fool, uneducated and un democratic, soldier has no right what so ever to arrest anyone on the street. only right he has is citizen arrest which any of you have. Foolish baboons……….,,.,
