Nigerians Living In Canada Are Very Brilliant – Says Canadian Talk Show Host Who Relocated To Lagos
Ace Canadian TV talk show host, Pumela Adolphus has explained why she brought her talk show to Nigeria despite the negative insinuations she had about the country.
The sassy presenter was in Lagos, recently to launch the global TV talk show tagged ,‘Truth Talks’ which has started showing on STV and Television Continental,TVC.
Pumela, who’s also, an author and a model, said her interactive programme is committed to telling the real stories about Nigeria and Nigerians, uplifting humanity and inspiring people from all walks of life.
She explained that after successfully establishing herself in the show business in Ontario, Canada, she decided to come to Nigeria to correct perennial misconception about the country.
According to her, she was inspired to come to Nigeria because she found out that Nigerians are intelligent people even though there is a negative narrative about the country such as drug pushers, fraudsters and other vices which she wants to correct through the show.
Pumela said;
“People tried to discourage her from coming to Nigeria. There are a lot of Nigerians living in Canada. But what I found intriguing about them is that they are very brilliant people.
I began to ask myself why are Nigerians travelling out of their country?. Why are they not succeeding in their country? In fact, most of the discouragements I received were from Nigerians living abroad. They kept asking me why are you coming to Nigeria?.
Why are you wasting your time and money? Why can’t you stay back in Canada? So, I decided to come to Nigeria to see things myself.
I want to showcase Nigerian in a more positive light, she stated.
Apart from being a celebrated talk show host and international public speaker, Pumela is also a passionate advocate for the rights of women and children across the world.”
