What veteran actor Bimbo Manuel said about his wife and women in general in a recent chat with Flora Onwudike.

Is your wife a lover of theatre and has that passion been reflected in you as a theatre person?

My wife started as an actor as well, nobody knows now. I met her in the course of work. She was working, after theatre, she went into production. But now she has left all that, she is a lecturer now. But she has not lost any interest in watching, she has a keen interest in Nollywood. She has a keen interest in the theatre and she follows happenings there. When she is able to get time off work, she watches, whether is live or it is at home she watches.

What’s your definition of a woman’s beauty?

I think everybody is beautiful and I am not joking, because beauty is not in the flesh, in the physical that we see. I think a woman cheapens herself, if she feels that it is what she has as physical attributes that determine how beautiful she is, no. I think the beauty of a woman is inside and you can help it, it comes out, no matter how hard you work to hide it and not let people really know, who you are, it shows at some point. Good people find it difficult to hide them, no matter how trying the times are, it still shows. The same goes to a bad person.
