Nov 3rd, 2015 – Nigerian Actor Femi Jacobs: I Was A Born Again Christian & Choir Leader At Fountain Of Life Church
One of Nigeria’s most eligible bachelors in Nollywood, Femi Jacobs (FJ) in an exclusive interview with ICampus has stated that he is not ready for marriage yet.
Femi Jacobs is regarded as a ‘big boy’ by many as a result of his financial status (Femi used to work in a bank and is one of the busiest Nollywood actors at the moment).
What else do you need to be ready for marriage? He was asked. He said he will know when he is ready. ‘
‘I am not ready. When I am ready I will let you know. Being ready is when you have connected the dot; it is when you feel you are in a place where you are emotionally and financially ready to do it.
When reminded that he said he would get married ‘very soon’ four years ago, the lead act in Taxi Driver (Oko Ashewo), soon could mean anytime. He said ‘It is only you that can determine when you are ready. All you need to be able to marry is when you know within yourself that you are ready and you find someone who is ready too. When someone says soon, it can be anytime soon really’.
Femi who was once choir master at Fountain of Life is a known ‘born again’ in the industry. He wears his faith on his forehead. However the lead actor, in the movie, The Meeting said though he is still a Christian, he cannot rate himself spiritually. ‘That is only left for God to judge. You can only do your best every day, make sure you are better than yesterday. I can’t be scoring myself. I can only do my best’ he said.
Femi latest movie, Taxi Driver (Oko Ashewo) will be in cinema November 13. He spoke mixed Yoruba and English while playing alongside, popular Yoruba actor, Odunlade Adekola. ‘Taxi Driver is a movie people should watch out for. I had to go back to driving school of sort to be able to master manual car so as to play the character’ he said.
Femi who has made several appearances on Tinsel became a household name after playing lead role in Rita Dominic and Mildred Okwo’s movie, The Meeting.
