September 21, 2016 – Nigerian Actress Tamara Eteimo Duped By Fake Housing Agent, Landlord In Lekki Lagos, Movie Star Lost 820K To Ige Aruya

Popular Nollywood actress Tamara Eteimo has been compensated more than a year after a fake agent duped her of N820,200 in Lekki Lagos.

The suspect identified as 52-year-old Ige Aruya reportedly took the money from the actress on the 22nd of January 2015 with the promise to lease a self contained apartment to her in Lekki but she later found out he’s a fake landlord.

She reported the matter to the police and the suspect and an accomplice were arrested.

Aruya was found guilty of 2-count charge of conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretense today and consequently sentenced to 6 years behind bars.

A Tinubu Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos presided over by Justice Kikelomo Ayeye today ordered police to sell a jeep found in the convict’s possession at N820, 200 and the money given to the actress.

    Well, let me just say, she‘s lucky to have had the guy arrested just in time otherwise, she would have begin to sing a new song by now.

    How I wish all culprits are arrested this way and have their loots confiscated. Vagabounds!

    Hmmm, thank God justice prevailed. But come to think of it with that amount and if a little can be added to it, you can actually get a piece of land. #Just Thinking aloud#

    Glad they were caught just in time and I pray the trial in court won’t last long before they move to their new home”prison”
    But wait a second, what do people think, that some rich folks plug money from trees and that they can be duped @anytime!?? Some people can be greedy and wicked.

    @fifelomo on point, celebrities only wants to be tagged with lekki. I don’t know what is spectacular about it. There is a film that I watched that the girl went into prostitution in order to pay for a flat in lekki.
    I want to believe the film is based on the way of life of celebrities.
