March 22, 2013 – NTA Journalist Olubunmi Oke Kidnapped In Akure, Ondo State
Olubunmi Oke, a popular journalist and TV presenter at NTA Akure Channel 11 North has been kidnapped.
We learnt the experienced female journalist was whisked away to an unknown location by some masked gunmen last night.
Four masked gunmen stormed her residence in Oba-Ile area of Akure yesterday evening shortly after her return from work.
According to family sources, Olubunmi Oke was kidnapped few minutes after she parked her car into her house.
A source said it seems the kidnappers monitored her movements before they got her.
An official report of Olubunmi Oke’s kidnap has been filed at a police station in the area.
Around this time last year, an NTA presenter Abdulrasaq Aremu Gawat was declared missing by his family members. Gawat has been found safely in Ibadan.
NTA reporter, Olubunmi Oke‘s kidnappers are yet to contact her family members.
