Popular Nollywood divas Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade Ekeinde have been omitted from the 100 best Nigerians in the last century list presented by President Jonathan.

The Nollywood stars’ names were omitted in the list of 100 Nigerians, who have contributed greatly to the nation for the past 100 year, as the Nigeria centenary celebration begins.

However, Nollywood would be represented in the list by Olu Jacobs, Patience Ozokwor, Hurbert Adedeji Ogunde and Kenneth Nnebue.

Interestingly, Monalisa Chinda, Desmond Elliot and Ali Nuhu, who were unveiled as the ambassadors and face of the celebration were largely omitted in the list.

While some movie buffs raised eyebrows on why Pete Edochie, Taiwo Ajai Lycett and a host of others have been omitted from the list President Goodluck Jonathan during the last presidential media chat simply said, “selecting 100 people out of 150 million people was not an easy thing to do.”
