The Ooni of Ife Okunade Sijuwade was buried late last night in the absence of his family members.
Dignitaries spotted at an inter-religious funeral service that held earlier yesterday in Enuwa Ile Ife were VP Osinbajo, Dele Momodu, Mimiko, Iyiola Omisore, Rauf Aregbesola and many others.

I often ask people why they say some certain phrase when during burials”May God grant him/her a good place in heaven.” It’s ridiculous,isnt it? Apart from USA that has a heaven built in their country for celebs and criminals. We hear of the heavens of US for example when Michael Jackson died and Whitney, knowing they choked on drugs.It is allowed if you don’t have an idea if the person lived a godly life and you say those things. Abeg which pastor/priest coordinated the church service for this Oni of Ife,is he not aware of the rituals done on him, or what has light got to do with darkness. And for the other bishops/pastors sitting down there in the picture, what are they doing there. Don’t be man pleaser, if you don’t the life the person lived,its another thing but your ignorance or eye service is despicable to the faith you believe.

Who is the next nominee for his position and who is the next Abobaku’s who will be ready to put his life on line with the new King? I think this will be an eye opener for the next Abobaku. Also, i’m still trying to figure out how the late Oni have been trying to satisfy all these Olori’s (Wives)intimately. May be that was reasons for his untimely death.

Christians must observe their duties at all times to show the world that we are not of the world, it is not for us to discriminate against anybody or judge anyone. God is the judge and we can not help God. The Oba might be saved geniuely, but the ritualist will want to do theirs in their own way, who knows? and Many will give their lives to God that day, while others are condemning them, in my experience of life, God will always show up in every situation. The question we should be asking is after the whole burial rites, where will he spend eternity??? because there is no place for him in Heaven if he didn’t do the will of God the Almighty Father. burying someone alongside with him is some old fable that should have been stopped by now, because Jesus has already brought a kind of LIFE to us (ZOE-God-kind-of-life), and every soul belongs to God and important to Jesus because he died for all, so the tradition of choosing an innocent soul to serve and be later buried alongside should be abolished.
