Sept 10, 2015 – Picture: Civil Society Protests At Alausa Ikeja Lagos, Urges Buhari To Jail Looters
Over 100 members of the civil society groups staged a peaceful protest today in front of Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s office at Alausa Ikeja.
The protesters carried placards and banners in support of Buhari’s anti corruption campaign.
They urged Buhari to hasten the process in order to prosecute and jail those who have stolen the nation’s wealth before it is too late.
I supported the protesters for pushing for the prosecution of looters. Buhari should not back out or rescind on his decision to probe all people who stole our wealth. If Buhari listen to these people because of any laming excuses that prosecuting them is witch-hunting people from South East implies that people will not trust Buhari anymore. Anything he says will not be taken seriously. I know that the looters were pressing button but Buhari should try as much to keep his word.
