Just like the outgoing President who associated himself with Nollywood stars, President-elect Buhari has promised to make life better for Kannywood (Hausa movie) stars.

He reportedly made this promise to the actor during a recent courtesy visit to his home in Katsina state.

Susan, what were you expecting to happen to Nollywood supports from the Presidency if Jonathan lost the elections. The issues here are not whether Nollywood is above Kannywood or not, its about the lessons you and your Nollywood apologists need to learn that discriminations and devide and rule does not promote, encourage peaceful co-habitation in a country like Nigeria where already certain sections of the country continue to make the loudest noise of marginalisation. Probably Buhari’s promise to assist Kannywood will send a strong message to Nollywood practisioners that no condition in life afterall is permanent. Is it not disgraceful and disappointing that with all the money thrown at Nollywood to campaign for Jonathan all came to nothing. Rebellion Nollywood people have shamefully lost another political battle after the first attempt of Nigerian civil war. Many more battle of conscience lies ahead of Nollywood to fight. Life goes on anyway. LONG LIVE NIGERIA

Nollywood practisioners did not hide the fact that the organisation is their creation and belongs to them absolutely. This is why nobody else is interested in contesting any position in Nollywood and Goodluck Jonathan was aware of these Nollywood claimant’s positions but still went ahead dolling out public money in support of Nollywood which he knew was a totally sectional and tribal organisation under the cover of film industry. A closer look at membership of Nollywood attest to these facts that they are largely a tribal organisation and that’s the reason why Jonathan by his own principle of “devide and rule” opened the doors of Aso Rock to all the riff-raffs of Nollywood, turning the seat of government into a joke and mockery to the entire world. He embraced, wined and dined with a rebellious group of people he thought could help him retain the presidency. Now the clouds have become clearer and the past political events have exposed the Nollywood people rather negatively to Nigerians than ever before. Jonathan knew he wasn’t dealing with the entire Nigerian film Industry but cared less, for as long as his “Direct Cousions” were ready to work with him to retain power. What an irony of how to learn lessons the hard way.
