A Nigerian arrested on the 20th of April 2016 at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja for importing cocaine into the country from Dubai has been jailed.
Anthony Chidi Ikeaba was today sentenced to 14 years behind bars by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court Abuja.
Justice Abang directed that the sentence should take effect from the date Ikeaba was arrested.

Not that I am supporting this Man’s act but how can he be sentenced to 14 years imprisonment, when other so called actors that were caught with same cocaine never spent any jailed terms. Is it that we have different laws for different level of people in Nigeria?.. I stand to be corrected as I am not a Lawyer….

The litigation process was so fast this time. Arrested on the 20th of April and the case has already been decided. I wonder, what stops them in being this fast in other cases?

all the cases in Nigeria is been tried at federal high court, so no magistrate,Regional courts in nigeria, nawa oo

Were you not aware of Ibinabo‘s case in relating to the untimely death of one Dr. Giwa like that? @ Konga.
First of all, that case took about a whole 10 GOOD YEARS!!! Before Iby was finally prosecuted and slammed 5yrs jail term.
Ok, as somebody who has been parambulating about freely all these year after she committed the crime, one would expect that having been jailed at last, she must serve her term to the full but do you know that because of her connections here an there, she did not even spend up to 3 weeks in her prison cell?
Let another person commit same crime and jailed, infact, apart from the fact that he will be given a longer jail term, he may even die in the cell.
So, my brother, there is no Law in these country. The only type of Law we have in this country is CHOOSY Laws. Only for the poor and the less privilaged.
To come back home. This handsome looking guy here actually messed up big time. Am sure after 14 solid years in prison, he wont be looking like this any more.

@Rapo you never fail to surprise me. The other day I read your comment admonition some body on important of regeneration. Now you are talking about participating in prison out reach in your country of abode, to do what? Preach which gospel? To who? Yet you are asking God to punish all the criminals (perhaps only the Igbo criminals)for you in Jesus name. What a hypocrite!
